4-H Carnival 2009 [44 pictures]

The area 4-H clubs get together once a year and put on a huge carnival at the Boulder County Fairgrounds.
The theme, this year, is country western. There were barns, boots, hats, bandanas, and hay bails galor.
Each display had a couple of games, vending, and even lhama rides. |

Brynas cake for Mom [5 pictures]

Our twelve-year old (with a little help from aunt Denise) made her first cake from scratch for Mom's birthday.
Of course, she never keeps it simple.

CSI Car Burning [54 pictures]

|
Bryna's sixth grade science class performed a special project with the help of the Jay Road firestation.
The crime scene was badly burned but the group of sixth grade CSI detectives were given the opportunity
to sift through it to detemine the story behind this.
This set is just the burning of the car involved. The detectives were allowed to take a peek inside the car.

Bryna took a few pictures of evidence and I borrowed the camera for a little bit to do my usual candid shooting.
Some items seemed to miraculously survive the fire which caused the detectives to theoryize that someone returned to
the scene of the crime. |

This is the last NEON (our Sunday School class at
Calvary Church) get together
that I remembered to bring a camera.
Our Valentine's Day dinner ended with a Newlywed Game.
Some of the folks on the stools were the finalists. |

Our Anniversary [123 pictures]

Our 25th Wedding Anniversary. We have had financial ups and downs in our life together
and our 25th was a little on the down side.
No Caribbean cruise but our kids got together and gave us a surprise picnic.
It was a lot of fun with some old (knew a long time) friends. |

Westview Fiesta [111 pictures]

The last day at Westview for our sixth grader ended with a South American fiesta!
The kids selected some part of Latin America to do a project on.
Here are a lot of pictures of their projects -- which included dance presentations.
The kids are the ones providing South American cuisine and we finished with a
Latin favorite game: The Limbo. |
