June 2010 - Our site is published.

Hi! We are John, Jacki and Brye. That is why we picked JJANDB for a name. It is nice and short and simply represents our little family. Plus, the dot-com (we made sure to check) is a good site in case you mis-type our address.
I have played with simple HTML sites for years ( here is our old Comcast site) but never cared to host anything interactive. That is, until I decided to write a text-based adventure game following the style of Collosal Cave Adventure. It started off as a haunted house game I thought of decades ago which I finally decided to implement in XML-controlled Javascript; but my REAL goal was to let anyone with a little imagination (and a little more patience) be able to write a text-based RPG (role playing game) with a little bit of instruction on what the "tags" mean. Thus, I succumbed to shelling out a little money and renting a PHP hosting site.

So... The main reason for the interactive site is that Indiana Jones hieroglyphic you may have seen on the main page. But, since there are a hundred other things my family and I would like to put out there, I just kept adding. The Boiling Frog is a blog which I plan on being active on soon. Jacki suggests making GT a blog. Probably a better idea than boiling frogs.

Given that, we will be doing what we can to enhance this as much as possible. That is why I am taking any suggestions. I spent our last $10/month on this site so please don't try to sell us anything. Thanks.
